Faculty Position in Soft Matter Physics

The School of Physics of the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a faculty position in Soft Matter Physics beginning Fall 2016. The appointment is expected to be at the level of Assistant Professor, but Associate Professor or Full Professor appointments can be considered for qualified applicants. We are interested in candidates in theory or experiment who will enhance existing Soft Matter Physics efforts in the School. The new faculty member will also benefit from strong Condensed Matter Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Physics of Living Systems research in the School, as well as broad Soft Matter research across the Institute. Successful applicants are expected to direct an active program of funded research and to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

We are especially interested in candidates in cold atoms and molecules, quantum information, and ultra-fast optical physics.
