Lectures (Power Points Slides)

Grades:

1.      Quiz - 60%

There will be four "one-hour" quizzes, but only three will be used for your grades. If you miss one you do not need any justification, the other three quizzes will be automatically considered. If you do all four quizzes, the best three scores will be considered. The quiz dates are indicated on the 2213b calendar. Each quiz (3) contributes 20% toward the final grade. The text and solutions of the quizzes can be found here.

2.      Homework - 15%
Problem sets are due in the room L5, usually Wednesday, indicated on the 2213b calendar. The graded homework will be returned in the lecture sections. The homework contributes 15% toward the final grade. The text and solutions of the homework can be found here.

3.      Final project - 25%
There will be a term project. It will involve creating and presenting a PowerPoint lecture (about 15 minutes) on an advanced Modern Physics subject of your choice. The presentation will be held in class. (I’ll make suggestions and email you to organize the presentation).
