Karan Jani named in Forbes 30 Under 30 in Science

The 2017 FORBES 30 Under 30 is the most definitive gathering of today’s leading young change-makers and innovators in the U.S.  Now in its sixth year, the 30 Under 30 offers an annual opportunity to embrace the optimism, inventiveness and boldness of youth. Among the 30 Under 30 in Science is School of Physics Ph.D. student Karan Jani.

Jani, 28, is involved in the gravitational wave experiment at LIGO Lab and part of the team that detected the first gravitational waves. For his work, he was a co-recipient of the Special Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics.
