DESCRIPTION: The department owns three NEC Video projectors. These may be set up in conjunction with an IBM-compatible computer, the laserdisc player, the digital camera or a VCR.
SETUP TIME: It takes awhile to get used to using these projectors, and it can take quite some time to configure them for the given space.
LOCATION: The video projectors are kept in the security cage in the demonstration room.
SUGGESTIONS: It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with (at least!) the remote before you use these machines!
OTHER NOTES:
First, please use the "Picture Mute" button if you are not using the projector! This keeps the bulbs (which are very expensive) from wearing out so quickly.
Second, when turning off the device, please allow the fan to run until it stops before pulling the plug! This also extends bulb life.
Third, the video projectors are only for use by physics department faculty and staff by orders of the department chair.
