PURPOSE: To demonstrate Snell's law for students

DESCRIPTION: This dedicated apparatus consists of a half-circle shaped piece of smoky glass which may be rotated about a horizontal axis. A white light source masked down to a slit is located immediately below the glass. The glass is turned until students can see total internal reflection.
