3A20.30 Air Track Glider and Spring 3A20.30 Air Track Glider and Spring

PURPOSE: To demonstrate the use of springs and oscillators

DESCRIPTION: One end of a spring is attached to an air track and the other end is attached to an air track glider. The air track is "turned on" (air is forced through the holes) and the glider floats quasi-frictionlessly. Oscillations may then be set up by displacing the glider from equillibrium.

SETUP TIME: Minimal.

COMPONENT LIST:

  1. Air track
  2. Glider
  3. Spring
