1D40.10 Big Fish

PURPOSE: To demonstrate motion of the center of mass of an irregular object.

DESCRIPTION: Big styrofoam fish with battery-powered lights is available. Light lights, throw fish. Students can watch the light located at the center of mass make a parabola while the other lights rotate about it.

SETUP TIME: If the lights work, 5 min.
