Welcome to the Georgia Tech Physics Demonstration Facility Catalog! This page maintains descriptions of lecture demonstrations which are used here in the
Physics Department for undergraduate
level courses. This project is continuously being updated to reflect
changes in the demonstrations available and these pages contain the
most up-to-date list available. Currently there are 230
demonstrations listed on these pages, 195
of which have extensive descriptions attached.
Please note that demonstrations are not necessarily confined to this list. If you have an idea for a good demonstration, we would be happy to try to acquire and/or build the apparatus required.
This page is meant as a resource for the Georgia Tech Physics Faculty. Do not try these demonstrations without training from the physics demonstration staff.
Our catalog is classified according to the Demonstration Classification Scheme (DCS) suggested by PIRA, the Physics Instructional Resource
Association. To find demonstrations, follow the links below as they get more and more specific.
