PHYS 2212 K-INTRO. PHYSICS II (Matter & Interactions version)
WebAssign Registration Information
This course will use the WebAssign, a web-based online homework system. You will first need an WebAssign Registration Access Code. If you purchased the textbook at the bookstore, it should have come bundled with an Access Code. (If it did not, or if you purchased the textbook elsewhere, you can purchase an Access Code online from WebAssign here.)
Log in to WebAssign by going to:
https://www.webassign.net/login.html
You need to enter a username, institution, and password:
Username: Your GT Account user name (e.g. "gth####", or "jdoe3")
Institution: gatech
Password: Your GT id # (e.g. 90#######)
This password is intended only for your initial use of WebAssign. You should immediately change your password after logging in (see instructions below).
NOTE: If you have used WebAssign before in a previous course at Georgia Tech, you should log in with your old password. If it doesn't work, or if you can't remember your password, email Dr. Kohlmyer to have your password reset.
Once you have logged in for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the Access Code. You will be able to use WebAssign for a grace period of several days without entering the code. After the grace period has expired, you will be unable to access your assignments, but all your previous work will still be saved, and you will be able to access it again after entering the code.
IMPORTANT: If you added the course or changed lab sections during the first week of class, please inform Dr. Kohlmyer of this as soon as possible via email (mkohlmyer3 [at] mail.gatech.edu). Send your username and GTID number so that your WebAssign account can be corrected or created. It is recommended that you do not enter the WebAssign access code until your course schedule is completely finalized.
To change your password, after logging in to WebAssign, click "My Options" in the upper right corner of the page. This will open a new browser window, where you can change your password and other settings. If you ever forget your password, email your instructor and ask for it to be reset.
To learn the basics of using WebAssign, consult the WebAssign Student Guide. (http://www.webassign.net/guide/index.html)
