July 27

THE FINAL EXAM IS TUESDAY, JULY 31, 2:50-5:40 PM in HOWEY L1. Practice problems from chapter 22 and 23, along with the formula sheet for the final exam, have been posted in "Test Preparation."

TAs will hold office hours on Monday, July 30, in Boggs B46, from 1-4 PM.

Also, updated attendance scores for the course have been posted to WebAssign; check "Past Assignments."

Solutions to Test 4 have been posted.


July 18

Practice problems for test 4 (with sample formula sheet) are now posted. These problems do not represent all the material that could possibly be on the test. In addition, be sure to review old lab assignments and WebAssign homeworks.

Test 3 solutions have been posted.

June 28

Test 3 will cover chapters 17 and 18. Be sure to review your lab work, as the test will cover concepts discussed in lab (e.g. magnetic fields due to coils and wires, compass deflections from magnetic fields, and circuits). Practice problems for test 3 and their solutions have been posted; see "Test Preparation" at right.  The formula sheet at the end of the practice problems is the same formula sheet you will receive on the test.

Note that these problems, which come from a previous semester's test, include a VPython problem. Since in this summer course you have not yet had much practice with VPython, there will probably not be a VPython problem on test 1. However, you should expect VPython questions on future tests.

Sec. K04, Thursday 2:40 - 6:30
