Calculator Policy
NO CALCULATORS THAT STORE TEXT OR FORMULAS WILL BE PERMITTED. You will be responsible for coming to the quiz with an appropriate calculator. If you are not sure that your calculator is appropriate, you should consult with your instructor well in advance of the upcoming quiz.
A complete listing of calculators is simply not feasible. However, an incomplete is below: please compare your calculator's features with the models on the list to see if your calculator may be used during a quiz or the final exam.
Known Acceptable Calculators
Other similar calculators are permitted, but an incomplete list of calculators known to conform to the calculator policy is:- Hewlett Packard – HP 30s

- Casio – FX 115 ES, FX 115 MS, and FX 115 MS Plus (Note: FX 115 ES and FX 115 MS models ending with an "-SR" designation are also allowed.)
- Texas Instruments – TI 30XA (or TI 30Xa)
- Texas Instruments – TI 30X IIS and TI 30X IIB
- Texas Instruments – TI 36X Solar
Known Unacceptable Calculators
Calculators with text editing capabilities or which may communicate with other electronic devices are not permitted. This is a short, incomplete list of popular calculators which fit in this category:- HP9G, HP 38G, HP 48G and HP 49G
